The Eta Beta Chapter of Sigma Nu has returned to the campus of East Carolina University. The Snakes are back!

Douglas McDowell Morgan, age 74
WINTERVILLE - Douglas McDowell Morgan, HB 18, age 74, died Tuesday, June 22, 2010 after a long illness.

Doug, a native of Greenville, was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a graduate of East Carolina College where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity.

Later he received a Master's Degree from East Carolina University in Counseling Education. He worked as a salesperson for Carolina Telephone, as the first Registrar at Pitt Community College, as a Pitt County magistrate, and was later self-employed in the building industry.

He was also one of the former owners of Century 21 Realty Group.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Moore Staton; two brothers, Charlie Gray Morgan and W.E. "Spooky" Morgan; and a sister, Ruby Morgan Palmer Ibsen.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dena Morgan; daughter, Dawn McQueen and husband, Tony; granddaughter, Kristen; great-grandson, Cameron; sister, Virginia Hughes and husband, Donald; step aunt, Ellen Anderson; five nephews; five nieces; and numerous cousins.
